Whisper Of A Past Pain (Part Three)
Telling her how amazing that was. Stating they should do it again soon. Taking the condom off. He dressed and went outside for a cigarette. Amy laid there. Shocked. Horrified. Feeling so dirty, she wanted to get bleach and drown herself in it. Slowly, in agonising pain, tears and snot running down her face, she stood. Taking a moment, allowing her head to calm down before she fell from dizziness. Comprising herself. Amy dressed herself. Struggling to move. Feeling the bruises starting to form. Slowly, steadily walking to the sink. Needing to wash her face, ridding herself of her tears and makeup running down her cheeks.
As the siding door opened, shivers run down her spine. Arching her back in fear. The hairs rising on her neck and arms. She slowly turned to face him. Swallowing the lump in her neck. He smiled at her. Like nothing had happened. Smiling a kind and innocent, as he had smile to her before this all. Before that smile would have made her heart skip several beats. He asked her to come out for a cigarette with him. The idea of doing anything with him made her nauseous.
But the way in which it was said, it wasn't a question.
Smiling but his eyes were piercing through her. His eyes were cold, almost black. She feared what he might do. Slowly walking outside. Standing as far away from him as possible. Trying to light her smoke, but her hyperventilating kept blowing the lighter out. He was casual. Telling her she should get some antibiotics, to prevent an infection.
A rage built up in her. How dare he start caring about her? How dare he smile like that, as if nothing happened? She clenched her fist. He saw this, seeing the change in her. Deciding to show his superiority, he stood up as tall as possible, puffing his chest out. Changing his smile to a cold, expressionless face. Backing down, Amy inhaled her smoke, hoping it would make her feel better. He asked her to take him home. Stating obviously, they wouldn’t work. Relief became her. With no hesitation, she jumped in and started the car. Lighting another cigarette one after another.
The drive to the train station was tense and stiff. No one saying a word. Just a humming on the engine and a rustling of the wind, blowing through their open windows. As they arrived at the station, she couldn't contain her joy. She had rid herself of this monster. Never to be seen again. He leant over to kiss her cheek, she backed her head away so quickly. She bumped her head on the glass window. He smiled. As he departed, her car, he left her with some finally words, "I had fun tonight, love ya babe". Those words repeated in her head. Over and over. He had fun. He had fun!
Sick to her stomach, hysterically crying, she drove herself home.
